The poster on “Behavioural and immunohistochemical characterisation of TrkA knock-in mice in the monoiodoacetate model of osteoarthritis” presented by the PAINCAGE partners Joao Sousa-Valente and Marzia Malcangio from the King’s College London and Laura Calvo and Juan Carlos Arevalo from the Universidad de Salamanca, won the first prize at the 13th IASP Research symposium:”Bridging the gaps between pain research and osteoarthritis research” – Stockholm, 17-19th September 2015.

Simona Capsoni (SNS) has signed an agreement with Bentham Publishers to edit 5 ebooks on pain. The first ebook, entitled, Neurotrophins and pain: Relevance to human conditions” is due for late autumn.

 

Antonino Cattaneo (SNS) was invited at the Pain Mechanisms and Therapeutics Conference, Taormina 5-10 June, 2016, to present an oral communication on: Targeting NGF and TrkA to control neuropathic pain: long lasting effect of an anti-NGF and anti-TrkA antibodies in Chronic Constriction Injury mouse model” by Antonino Cattaneo.

Paincage Symposium – Italian Society for Neuroscience Meeting: 

Silvia Marinelli from European Brain Research Institute (Italy), Anders Nykjaer from Aarhus University (Denmark) and Simona Capsoni from Scuola Normale Superiore (Italy) held a Symposium, related to the PAINCAGE project, at the XVI Congress of the Italian Society for Neuroscience (8-11 October 2015, Cagliari) on Cannabinoid and NGF and Chronic pain.
